Loudoun Sheriff Launch Recruitment Website
Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman and the agency’s Employment Section announced the launch of a new recruiting and hiring website designed to continue bringing the best talent to the LCSO.
The new website, JoinLCSO.com, gives visitors a view of the various career opportunities available at the largest, full-service Sheriff’s Office in Virginia. In his message to applicants, Sheriff Chapman said, “we are looking for people who can think critically, innovatively solve problems, communicate, and serve as leaders in the community.”
JoinLCSO.com also highlights the excellent starting salary, benefits, training, and numerous incentives our employees receive. The recruiting website will play an important role in ensuring the agency continues to attract and hire the best applicants to serve Loudoun County and our citizens.
While law enforcement agencies across the nation struggle to recruit applicants, the LCSO continues to receive great interest from individuals wishing to join our team. In the past two years the LCSO has hired 62 pre-certified law enforcement officers from local police departments in Virginia, and an additional 18 sworn officers from out of state. The new hires have filled positions in patrol, courts, and corrections.
The agency’s professional reputation in the law enforcement community and its creative recruiting initiatives have helped the LCSO reach its lowest vacancy rate in decades last December.
