Overview

Description
Participate and lead new production introduction activities for all electronic assemblies including SMT, through-hole and electromechanical assemblies.
Prepare labor quote and method of manufacturing for electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies. (training will be provided)
Prepare Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI), Solder paste inspection (SPI), reflow solder, wave solder and selective solder programs/recipes. (training will be provided)
Create and design PCB Panel drawing and assembly tooling using AutoCAD or DraftSight and/or 3D modeling software.
Troubleshoot and optimize manufacturing processes for ease of operation, labor and cost and cycle time reduction.
Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
Participate in electronic manufacturing equipment installation, operator training, acceptance and validation.
Participate in lean manufacturing activities and/or lead kaizen teams.
Provide extensive manufacturing support for SMT and component prep areas.

Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or two years technical associate degree and/or related job experience.
Experience: Previous technical, engineering or manufacturing experience preferred but not required. Great opportunity for recent college graduates.

 

The following experiences are highly desirable and would be considered a plus:

Demonstrated knowledge and application of ISO processes.
Previous knowledge of SMT, through-hole and electromechanical assemblies.
Knowledge of ERP systems and/or Manufacturing Execution Systems, labor standards of electronic assemblies, SPC, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen and lean manufacturing in general.
Component engineering, DFM, DFT, DFX. Project Management and experience interfacing with customers.
